Can I use a library from a Windows PC?
Yes, by copying it. Copy the library folder from the PC into the Files app on iPhone or iPad, then open that folder in Hive. There's no Windows version of Hive.
Copy a library from Windows
This works for a library you keep on a PC, including an Eagle library. Opening a library other than Hive's own is part of Pro.
- Copy the library folder from the PC into the Files app on iPhone or iPad. A cable, a drive, or a file transfer you already use will do.
- Open Hive and choose the copied folder as a library.
- Leave the contents of the folder as they are while copying.
Why we don't recommend iCloud for Windows
It's tempting to let iCloud for Windows keep the PC and the iPhone in step, but for a library you're actively using it causes trouble. Sync tasks can stall or fail, crashes are reported often, and in some cases files have been lost or damaged. Copying the folder is slower and much safer.
Going the other way
To open a Hive library on the PC, copy the Hive library folder to the computer and choose it as a library in Eagle. Keep the folder structure unchanged.
Keeping the two up to date
A copy doesn't update itself. When the library on the PC has changed enough to matter, copy it across again.

No. Hive runs on iPhone, iPad, and Macs with Apple Silicon.
Is an Android version planned?
No.
Will my Eagle tags and folders come across?
Yes. Hive reads the library's structure, so folders and tags appear as they were.
