Hive Image Organizer is built first for iPhone and iPad. It also runs on Apple Silicon Macs, but the clearest product fit and the main site promise stay on iOS and iPadOS.
The strongest fit is still mobile reference work
The clearest use case is still capture on iPhone and review on iPad, because those are the devices that stay closest to active reference work during the day.
Mac support exists, but it is not the main story
Hive can run on Macs with Apple Silicon. That matters for continuity, but the current product story is still centered on iPhone and iPad rather than on a broader desktop platform pitch.
Why keep the platform answer this narrow
Because platform questions are often quoted directly in search and AI answers. A narrower answer is more useful than a broader one that quietly changes what the product is claiming.
