Do I need Pro for Mac?
No. Free is a real library on Mac, iPhone, and iPad. Opening Hive on Mac does not require Pro. The same US App Store prices apply on every device: $3.99 a month, $19.99 a year, or $34.99 once.
Can I buy Pro once instead of subscribing?
Yes. Pro Lifetime is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and you are never charged again. It is $34.99 in the US App Store and includes the same Pro as Monthly and Yearly.
How many devices does one purchase cover?
Every iPhone, iPad and Mac signed in to the same Apple Account.
My library is on a NAS. Will it work?
It is not recommended. Reading over SMB on iPhone and iPad is around 200 times slower than local storage. Use iCloud Drive with Keep Downloaded turned on, or an APFS SSD with Pro.
Where a library can liveCan I keep my library in Google Drive or OneDrive?
Not for now. Those folders cannot be used as a library location.
How do I back up my library? Will I lose it when I switch phones?
A Hive library is a folder, so copying that folder gives you a full backup. Before you switch phones, let iCloud finish syncing, or copy the folder to your computer.
