Can I use Hive without Eagle?
Yes. Hive is a complete reference library on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Working with Eagle is optional, and most of what Hive does has nothing to do with it.
Everything works without Eagle
Saving from apps and browsers, folders and tags, Smart Folders, search, markup, slideshows, and sync across your devices all work with Hive alone. You create a library in Hive, choose where it lives, and start saving.
Who uses Hive on its own
Photographers preparing a shoot, designers collecting references for a brand, illustrators building a set for a painting, and interior designers sourcing a room all use Hive without any other library. If you work on Apple devices and want one private place for references, you don't need anything else.
If you add Eagle later
Nothing needs to change. A Hive library is a folder that Eagle can read, so you can copy it to a computer and open it there whenever you decide to.

No. The library is a folder you choose. Purchases go through your Apple Account.
