Hive is designed as a private, local-first visual reference library. This page explains what the app does not collect, how device storage works, and where Apple's iCloud policies apply instead of ours.

Hive is a purely local application designed to manage and organize media files on your device. Our core principle is to respect user privacy, and as Hive is a local-only app, we do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to our servers.

Hive does not collect, store, or transmit the following types of personal information:
- Personal identifiers (such as name, email address, phone number, etc.)

- Browsing history
- Device information
- Usage statistics
2.2 Locally Stored Information
All data related to Hive is stored locally on your device, including but not limited to:
- Imported media files (images, videos, GIFs, etc.)
- Folder structures and organizational information
- Tags, annotations, or other metadata
This information is entirely under your control, stored on your device, and inaccessible to us.
2.3 iCloud Synchronization
The app includes cloud-based iCloud synchronization functionality. Your Hive data will be synchronized between your devices using Apple's iCloud service. Please note:
- The synchronization process is managed by Apple's iCloud service
- We cannot access your data stored in iCloud
- iCloud synchronization is subject to Apple's privacy policy
3. Data Security
Although Hive does not store or transmit your personal data, we still value the security of your data.
We take the following measures to protect your local data:
- Regular app updates to fix potential security vulnerabilities
- No inclusion of backdoors or unauthorized access routes in the application
However, the ultimate security of the data depends on your device's security settings. We strongly recommend that you:
- Keep your device's operating system and the Hive app updated to the latest version
- Use strong passwords or biometric methods (such as Face ID or Touch ID) to protect your device
- Carefully manage device access permissions
4. Third-Party Services and Content
4.1 Content Import
Hive allows content import from certain third-party services (such as X, Pinterest, and Xiaohongshu). Please note:
- Import operations are performed locally on your device
- We do not collect or store any information related to these imports
- When using these features, you may be subject to the terms and privacy policies of the relevant third-party services
4.2 Sharing Functionality
When you use Hive's sharing feature to share content to other apps or save to your local photo album:
- The sharing operation is handled by the iOS system
- We do not track or record your sharing activities
- Apps receiving shared content may collect related information; please refer to those apps' privacy policies
5. Data Backup and Deletion
5.1 Data Backup
We strongly recommend that you regularly back up your data in Hive. You can:
- Use your device's local backup feature
- Enable iCloud backup (if you use iCloud synchronization)
5.2 Data Deletion
When you delete the Hive app from your device:
- All local data related to Hive will be deleted
- If you used iCloud synchronization, you need to manually delete related data from iCloud
6. Children's Privacy
Hive does not knowingly collect personal information from minors. Due to the nature of the application, all content and usage are controlled by the user.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us through the in-app feedback channel.
7. International Data Transfers
As Hive is a purely local application that does not collect or transmit personal data, it does not involve international data transfers. However, if you use the iCloud synchronization feature, data transfers will be subject to Apple's privacy policy and data processing practices.
8. Your Rights
Under applicable data protection laws, you may have the following rights:
- Right of Access: View Hive data stored on your device
- Right to Rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete information in Hive
- Right to Erasure: Delete your Hive data from your device
- Right to Data Portability: Export your Hive data (if supported by the app)
As all data is stored locally, you can exercise these rights directly through the application or device settings.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in legal, technical, or business developments. When we update the Privacy Policy, we will notify you in the application and update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
