## What Hive is

Hive is a private visual reference library for photographers, designers, illustrators, and creative teams. The same library lives on iPhone, iPad, and native Mac on Apple Silicon (M1 or newer). Save images, videos, links, bookmarks, and files; organize them with folders, tags, notes, search, and Smart Folders; find the working set later without a public feed.

Hive is Eagle-friendly when you already keep a desktop archive. It is not the official Eagle app. It is not Eagle Pocket. It is not a public Pinterest-style discovery feed. The App Store privacy label reads Data Not Collected.

Mac is a platform, not a Pro gate. Opening Hive on Mac does not, by itself, require Pro.

## Mac + iPhone

Yes. Hive is a native macOS app on Apple Silicon Macs (M1 or newer). Download it from the App Store. iPhone, iPad, and Mac can share one private library. Sync across devices is Pro. Free stays on-device.

Use iPhone to capture while the source is still open. Use iPad to review and shortlist. Use Mac for clearer viewing and smoother mouse. One membership covers iPhone, iPad, and Mac with the same App Store account.

## Official Eagle mobile app

No. There is still no official Eagle app for iPhone or iPad. Eagle remains desktop-first. Hive is a separate private library for iPhone, iPad, and Mac; Pro can import Eagle libraries. Third-party apps such as Eagle Pocket are not official Eagle.

## Hive vs Eagle

Short answer: Eagle is stronger as a deep desktop archive. Hive is stronger when the same private library must live on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Use both if you want desktop depth plus mobile/Mac capture—or Hive alone if private multi-device is the job.
